What next?
You have arrived
to the municipality of Rudersdal in Denmark (“Rudersdal Kommune”).
And what next?
Accomodation
If you already
have an accommodation but want another place to stay, you shall
contact Rudersdal Kommune. They can offer you a temporary
accommodation till you find your own permanent housing.
The temporary
accommodation is rather simple. You live close to other
refugees, and you have shared kitchen and bathing facilities.
Residence
permit
As quick as
possible but within 90 days
you must apply for a residence permit. Without a permit "Rudersdal
Kommune" can not give any help.
You must fill in
an application form and you must
have taken biometrics.
When you have got a residence
permit
You will participate in an
integration program. Read more at the
homepage of Rudersdal Municipality.
You are allowed to work.
Rudersdal kommune will help you to:

Get financially support

Find a job. But it is also your
own responsibility

Go to language school (free)

Get your children in school (free) or
kindergarten/nurseryy

Get a helth card which gives you
free medical care
You will also get:

A cpr number (personal
registration number)

NemId (your personal secure code
to digital solutions. You have to use it for your e-boks,
your bank account and other digital solutions)
-
e-boks (a special and safe
mailbox for mails from the authorities)
The accomodation manager or a
volunteer will help you to get a Danish bank account.
It is your own responsibility to
find your own permanent home.
Everything
will happen as fast as possible, but be aware that this
is an extraordinary situation, so it may take a little
longer than usual, and maybe somthing unexpected might
happen.
